Human body is formed by different body systems. Body systems are formed by organs, organs are formed by tissues, and tissues are formed by cells.
Cells are the fundamental basic units of LIFE.
Findings from scientific research have discovered that:
All chronic diseases arise from cellular malfunction.
From flu to depression, mental disease, to life threatening acute diseases, all rooted down to cellular malfunction.
Cellular Malfunction:
1) Mal-nourishment (cells are starved from nutrients)
Cellular repair and cell duplication need the right nutrients in adequate amount to sustain the above processes.
2) Viral and bacteria invasion (cell damage caused by toxification and foreign organism attack)
Virus and bacteria generate toxic substance which in turn, harms the body.
Why Do We Need to Consume Foods?
We consume foods to nourish our cells with our daily nutrition requirement.
Within a human life-span of 78 years, we consume approximately 550 tonnes of foods, to provide our body with a full spectrum of nutrients!
Using a building as an example, cells are like bricks. With strong bricks, the building constructed will be strong, solid and firm.
If our cells get damaged, unable to receive the right and adequate nutrients, this is equivalent to having hollow, chipped off, or poor quality bricks. Would you like to stay in a building made of such bricks? Definitely NO!
75% of the population are in the same condition as these "poor quality buildings", a.k.a. being in a poor health condition. These people are literally living in the defective buildings.
In another words, 75% of the population are suffering from nutrient deficiency.
The human body requires seven essential nutrients, namely:
protein, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats, phyto-nutrients, water, and fibre.
To stay healthy, we have to consume a wholesome, adequate and balanced diet intake.
Hence, is nutrition important to our health?
